Dear Friend,
We are delighted to share with you the inaugural edition of CONG, Serakai Studio’s annual journal that explores our overlapping interests in art, design and placemaking. These mutual interests are the catalyst for Serakai, a forward-thinking property investor and placemaking advocate. We position art and culture at the centre of all strategic decisions we make, as well as at the heart of our placemaking philosophy. Serakai is committed to extensively resourcing a creative approach to the built environment, and as part of that commitment independently produced and published CONG.
We are producing a printed publication, with the belief that the texts, imagery and ideas generated by our contributors is best served in a tangible - printed, edited, sequenced - format. In short, CONG is a continuation of Serakai’s intention to set a new standard for curated placemaking and culturally driven urban interventions with generational impact. It is a space for long-read articles and specially commissioned photo spreads from critical thinkers, writers, artists and philosophers; each uniquely positioned to act as protagonists of creative exchange that has enduring influence.
We invite you to join us in this conversation. If you have enjoyed this unique journal, please do sign up for Serakai Studio’s newsletter and to receive the second edition, and follow us @serakai_studio to hear and see more throughout the year.
Yours sincerely,
Benjamin Cha | and | Tobias Berger |
